Hydro Jetting in Phoenix
Clean the whole pipe, not just the clog. Camera first, pressure matched to your line, and a second look to prove it is clear. Homes, restaurants and commercial buildings.
Clean the Pipe, Not Just the Clog
A snake pokes a hole through a clog and leaves the grease, scale and root hairs on the pipe wall. Hydro jetting uses a pump, a hose and a nozzle to scour the whole inside of the pipe, so the line runs close to its full size again. It is the right tool for clogs that keep coming back, grease, roots and heavy buildup. Read what hydro jetting is for the full explanation.
It is not right for every pipe. Old or broken lines can be damaged by pressure, so we look first and tell you honestly if jetting is the wrong call. The estimate is free and the price is upfront. Licensed and insured, with 24/7 emergency service.

What Hydro Jetting Removes
How a Jetting Job Works
Look first
A camera goes in to find the cause, the location and the pipe material. Then we decide whether the pipe can take jetting.Match the setup
Pressure and flow are chosen for the pipe size and the blockage, with a nozzle to suit. We open the line at a cleanout when there is one.Jet the line
The nozzle scours the pipe wall and flushes the debris downstream and out, so it does not settle into a new clog.Look again
A second camera pass shows the result. You get the findings explained, and if the pipe needs repair we quote it separately.
Why We Look Before We Jet
Pressure cleans, and pressure can also break a weak pipe. Spartan Tool, a maker of jetting equipment, notes that pressure has to be matched to the pipe, and warns that too much in a small line can tear a clay tile line apart or separate the hubs on cast iron. Pressure is only half the setup: flow, the gallons per minute, is what carries the loosened debris out of the line.
That is why the camera comes first. It shows whether the pipe is sound, cracked, sagging or made of a material that cannot be cleaned this way. Fiber pipe such as Orangeburg tears under mechanical cleaning. Aging cast iron may call for a gentler approach. When jetting is the wrong tool, we say so and quote the right one.
Jetting Clears Roots. It Does Not Keep Them Out.
A jetter can clear a root mass out of a sewer line. The crack or open joint the roots grew through is still there afterward, and the tree is still looking for water. The camera after the cleaning shows whether the pipe can be sealed, needs replacement or is sound enough for repeat cleanings.

Jetting for Restaurants and Commercial Buildings
In a commercial building, a recurring clog is lost business. Restaurants, hotels, apartment complexes and retail centers send grease, food solids and heavy use down long lines with several branches, and a cable machine only opens a channel. Jetting cleans the pipe wall along the run, and the second camera pass gives a property manager a record to keep.
The size of the job decides the equipment. On smaller commercial jobs we use our cabling equipment. On larger systems we bring a high-powered jetting machine and a two-person jetting team, because that is what it takes to flush a commercial system fully. We run the jetter from the cleanout locations, pull the grease and sludge buildup off the pipe and push it out to the city main. We do this for restaurants, hotels and retail centers, for warehouses and manufacturing sites, and for property managers who look after several buildings.
- Kitchen grease lines and floor drains. Grease cools and hardens further down the pipe, which is why lines slow long after the sink. Jetting cleans the line between the kitchen and the grease device and beyond it.
- Vertical drain stacks and building lines. Multi-unit and multi-story buildings share drain stacks, so one restricted stack can back up several units.
- Main sewer line. The owner maintains the line from the building to the city main in many cases. See sewer line ownership by city.
Jetting cleans the pipes. It does not replace the pump-out of the grease trap or interceptor, which a licensed pumper does on the city's schedule. See grease trap pumping vs cleaning vs jetting, why a commercial kitchen drain keeps overflowing and why grease gets past an interceptor. We repair, replace and install grease traps and interceptors. See grease trap service and commercial drain cleaning. We can schedule around your hours.

What Affects the Cost of Hydro Jetting
We do not post prices because the line decides them. These are the factors:
- Pipe size and length. A longer or larger line needs more time and more equipment.
- Access. A cleanout is quick. No cleanout means more work.
- How heavy the buildup is. Grease, scale and root masses take different amounts of work.
- Camera inspection. The look before and after is part of the visit. Sewer camera inspection can also be booked on its own.
- Timing. An after-hours emergency is a different visit from a scheduled one.
The way to get an exact number is the free estimate. You get the price up front, before any work starts.

What is hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting sends high-pressure water through a hose and a special nozzle that scours the full inside of a drain or sewer pipe. The blast cuts and flushes away grease, scale, sludge, and tree roots, leaving the pipe walls clean rather than just poking a hole through the clog.

A drain snake punches a hole through a clog so water flows again. Hydro jetting uses up to 4,000 PSI water to scour the full interior of the pipe, removing grease, scale, and roots a snake leaves behind. Snake for one-time clogs, jet for recurring backups, commercial drains, and grease lines.

No. Hydro jetting clears roots out of the pipe, but it does not close the crack or joint they grew through, and the tree keeps seeking water. To stop regrowth, seal or replace the pipe, remove the source, or schedule repeat cleanings based on what a camera shows afterward.

Pumping and cleaning are one job on the grease device: remove everything inside, scrape the walls, leave it empty. Jetting is a different job on the pipes: high-pressure water scrubs grease off the drain and sewer lines downstream. Neither replaces the other.
