Commercial Drain Cleaning in Phoenix

Heavy-duty drain service for kitchens, retail, hospitality and multi-tenant buildings. Camera-verified, scheduled around your hours, and 24/7 when it cannot wait.

The Short Version

Drain Service That Keeps Up With a Business

A backed-up drain in a business costs more than the plumbing bill: a closed kitchen, a restroom out of service, a tenant complaint. We clear commercial drain and sewer lines for restaurants, retail centers, hotels and multi-tenant buildings, and we show you the result on camera so you know the line is actually clear.

The estimate is free and the price is upfront. Licensed and insured, with 24/7 emergency service. It is one part of our commercial plumbing service, so the same crew can handle what the camera finds.

How It Works

How a Commercial Drain Call Works

  1. Find the cause

We ask what is backing up and where, then find the cleanout and the affected branch. A camera shows what is in the line.
  2. Pick the method

A cable machine opens a simple stoppage. Hydro jetting cleans grease, scale and roots off the pipe wall. We tell you which and why.
  3. Clear and verify

We clear the line, then look again so the result is on video, not a promise.
  4. Report and plan

You get the findings explained. If the pipe needs repair, we quote it separately. For a recurring problem, we help you plan the next cleaning around the camera.
Know The Cause

What Backs Up Commercial Drains

Kitchens send grease, oil and food solids down the line. Grease cools and hardens farther down the pipe, which is why a line can slow long after the sink. Restrooms and retail spaces add paper, wipes, soap and constant use, and older lines collect roots and scale. Read why a commercial kitchen drain keeps overflowing and why a floor drain backs up.

A quick snake at the surface often reopens the line without cleaning it. For grease and buildup, we use hydro jetting after a camera confirms the pipe can take it.

Main Line and Sewer

Commercial Sewer Line Cleaning

When every fixture in the building slows down at once, the problem is usually the main building sewer line, not one drain. We find the blockage with a sewer camera inspection, clear the line, and check it again. If the camera shows a cracked pipe, roots or a sag, we quote sewer repair separately so you can decide.

We match the equipment to the job. A smaller stoppage, such as one suite's line or one restroom, gets our cabling equipment. A larger system at a restaurant, hotel, retail center or warehouse gets a high-powered jetter and a two-person jetting team. We work from the cleanouts and flush the grease and sludge buildup out of the line to the city main, so the whole run is clean, not just opened. See commercial hydro jetting.

A cleanout is the way in. Not sure where yours is or whether your building needs more? See what a sewer cleanout is and cleanout code requirements. For who maintains which part of the line, see sewer line ownership by city.

Kitchens

Restaurants: Drain Lines and Grease Devices Are Two Jobs

A restaurant's grease device catches grease before it leaves the kitchen, and the pipes still need cleaning. The device is pumped out by a licensed pumper on the city's schedule. We clean the drain lines and repair, replace and install grease traps and interceptors. See pumping vs cleaning vs jetting, what to do when a grease trap backs up into the floor sinks and our grease trap service.

Property Managers

Multi-Tenant Buildings and Leases

In a shared building, one blocked line can affect several tenants, and the first question is who pays. That depends on the lease. See tenant or landlord plumbing repairs and what a property manager should do first in a sewer backup. We document what we find on camera and in writing, so you have a record to work from.

Warning Signs

Signs Your Drains Need Service

Several fixtures draining slowly at once
Recurring backups during busy hours
Odors near floor drains
Gurgling from drains or toilets
Water pooling around floor drains
Grease backing up into floor sinks
What Drives the Price

What Affects the Cost of Commercial Drain Cleaning

We do not post prices because the building decides them. These are the factors:

  • Pipe size and length. Longer and larger lines take more time and equipment.
  • Access. A cleanout is quick. No cleanout means more work.
  • How heavy the buildup is. Grease, scale and roots take different amounts of work.
  • Camera. A look before and after is part of the visit.
  • Timing. An after-hours emergency is a different visit from a scheduled one.

The way to get an exact number is the free estimate. You get the price up front, before any work starts.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Anything else, call (602) 675-1555.

Why does my commercial kitchen drain keep overflowing?

Grease is the usual cause. Fats, oils, and grease wash down warm, then cool and harden on the pipe walls until the line chokes. The EPA found grease causes 47 percent of sewer blockages. A full grease trap, food solids, or a clog in the main line make it worse. The fix is hydro jetting plus regular interceptor service.

Why is my floor drain backing up?

Your floor drain backs up because it usually sits at the lowest point in your home's drain system. When the main sewer line or a shared branch clogs, wastewater has nowhere to go and surfaces there first. A blocked or dried-out drain trap is the other common cause.

Grease trap pumping vs cleaning vs jetting: which is which?

Pumping and cleaning are one job on the grease device: remove everything inside, scrape the walls, leave it empty. Jetting is a different job on the pipes: high-pressure water scrubs grease off the drain and sewer lines downstream. Neither replaces the other.

Sewer backup in a multi-tenant building: what first?

First keep people away from the sewage and stop water use in the building so the backup stops growing. Then call a commercial plumber to find the blockage, notify the city if it is coming from the public main, and tell tenants in writing. Photograph everything before cleanup starts.
