Yes. American Standard gives faucets and showers a limited lifetime warranty from the date of purchase for home use, but only for purchases after July 1, 2020. Electronic parts get 5 years and batteries none. Commercial and rental use gets 5 years. It doesn't cover labor and isn't transferable to a later owner.
What does the American Standard faucet warranty cover?
American Standard warrants each product to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential or commercial use, for the time periods it lists, measured from the initial date of purchase. Here is the sheet's table:

The sheet adds that these terms apply only to product purchases after July 1, 2020. A faucet bought before that date may fall under an earlier version of the warranty, so check the paperwork that came with it.
American Standard defines commercial use in a footnote. It includes apartments and other rental units, non-residential facilities, hotels, commercial businesses and other public accommodations. A landlord's rental house therefore gets the 5-year term, not the lifetime one.
### What does "lifetime" mean here?
It means the length of the product's life from purchase, not a promise that the faucet will never wear out. The sheet says "limited lifetime warranty from date of purchase" and ties it to defects in material and workmanship. That's different from Delta's and Moen's wording, which ties the term to how long the original buyer owns the home. Who can make a claim?
Only the original purchaser. American Standard's sheet says the warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. There is one exception: if a plumber, contractor or other service provider bought the faucet, the warranty extends to the first property owner on whose behalf it was bought for installation.
So if you bought a home with an American Standard faucet, don't assume the previous owner's coverage came with it. If a plumber buys the faucet for you, keep the invoice that shows it was bought for your home. The FTC gives the same advice for any warranty: keep the receipt with the warranty, since it proves the purchase date and that you're the original owner.
What will American Standard do about a defect?
The sheet limits American Standard's obligation to repairing or replacing the product or any part, or exchanging it for the same or a similar model, in its sole discretion. It reserves the right to inspect the product first. You don't get to choose a different faucet or finish.
The sheet also says the warranty gives you specific legal rights and that you may have other rights that vary by state. American Standard disclaims other warranties, express or implied, to the extent the law allows, and it excludes special, incidental and consequential damages. It limits any implied warranty to the length of this one. Some states don't allow those limits, so they may not apply to you, and whether one applies is a question for your state's consumer protection office.
### What isn't covered?
The exclusions are long, and several matter for a faucet:
- Labor. The sheet excludes labor or other costs of removal or installation, including surrounding material such as tile or marble.
- Lack of maintenance or cleaning. Damage from not following the maintenance and cleaning directions in the owner's manual isn't covered.
- Improper installation or non-genuine parts. Damage from careless installation, or from parts that aren't genuine American Standard parts, is excluded.
- Damage to property. The sheet excludes damage to personal or real property from use of the product. A leak that stains a cabinet falls here.
- Shipping damage, outside forces and disasters. These include vandalism, vehicle impact, storms and floods.
- Local code compliance. The sheet tells you to ask a local building or plumbing contractor before you install.
### What voids the warranty?
American Standard says the warranty is void if the product has been moved from its initial place of installation, has been subjected to faulty maintenance, abuse, misuse, accident or negligence, wasn't installed following the instructions, or has been modified from how it shipped. It's also void if you bought it from an unauthorized seller, if it was accidentally or intentionally damaged, if it was used in a way it wasn't designed for, or if it was improperly shipped, stored or handled.
The "moved from its initial place of installation" line matters if you take a faucet with you to a new house. Under this sheet, that would void the warranty.

American Standard gives three routes: an authorized dealer or re-seller, a letter to its address, or its website. Include a complete description of the problem, the product, model number and color, the date you bought it and from whom, and your proof of purchase, meaning the original sales receipt.

Delta's terms come from its warranty page. Both Delta and American Standard tie coverage to buying from an authorized seller, and American Standard's sheet voids the warranty for a purchase from an unauthorized seller.
### What should you have ready?
Before you contact American Standard, find the receipt and note the model number and color. Take a clear photo of the problem. The sheet asks for a complete description, so write down when the leak or failure started and where the water shows up. If a leak is active, shut the supply valves under the sink first, since the sheet excludes damage to personal or real property from use of the product.
